The Classic Non-linear junction detector (NLJD) from Lornet provides detection of semiconductor elements, and is meant for specialists working in the field of information security. It is used for search and detection of electronic devices, both in turned off or operational state.
With a standard operating frequency in the range of 800-900 MHz, it can detect a wide range of devices such as: audio-recording gadgets, eavesdropping devices, microphone amplifiers, remote control devices, and the like. Due to the frequency band applied it doesn't detect SIM cards (compared to newer models fo Lornet NLJD).
The operation of the NLJD is based upon the property of semiconductor components, which then generate a response in the second and third harmonics, when they are radiated by a RF probing signal.
What that means is, that semiconductor components of artificial origin will have a higher level of second harmonic, while semiconductor components of natural origin such as oxide films, will therefore have a higher third level harmonic.
The NLJD analyzes the second and third harmonics response of the object in question (it can be a wide range of objects, including vehicles), which in turn enables a swift and reliable identification of electronic devices and natural oxide semiconductors.
Furthermore, the wireless earphones enable the user to listen to parasitic demodulation of signals of second and third harmonics.
