The JJN Digital HSA-Q1 is a handheld, fully integrated RF Spectrum Analyser featuring an ample frequency range from 1 MHz to 13.44 GHz with a sweep time of only 0.5 seconds!

The HSA-Q1 Handheld RF Spectrum Analyser is specifically designed for maximum detection capability in professional countermeasures RF detection or Sweeps. To ensure the detection of all types of RF signals, the HSA-Q1 presents with an extensive frequency range from 1 MHz to 13.44 GHz with a remarkable sweep time of just 0.5 seconds in Full Range and an even shorter 0.2 seconds sweep time in the Lower Range. With this kind of frequency span, you can detect all sorts of RF signals and in particular the modern pulsed burst signals that are often missed with slower sweeping equipment.

The RF sensitivity can be adjusted over 5 levels, ensuring detection for signals in next-door rooms or outside the building with Maximum sensitivity of -80 dBm in Sweep, as well as detection when a specific nearby signals source is needed with Minimum sensitivity of -100 dBm in Direct Tune.

The Waterfall Spectrogram Function displays in real-time and full-color graphical display of any and all detected signals, thus allowing further analysis. This comes in handy when trying to discover modern pulsed digital signals or frequency-hopping signals from the latest technology, such as Cellular, Wi-Fi, GPS, or Burst-based devices. Also helpful is the Persistence mode which changes the color of the signal from blue to red for the longest detected signal allowing for even greater analysis and identifying continuous signals that might otherwise be hidden in a noisy RF environment.

The Tune & Listen function grants you the option where pressing a button allows you to direct tune in to any detected signal, view its pattern, and signal strength live. The Memory log of the device can be stored in the included USB stick with a time&date stamp, and if needed, featuring also is a Background scan with which you can store and recall past RF environments for additional comparison to newer RF environments in the future.

The HSA-Q1 is a portable device for handheld use however also fitted with a retractable stand should it be required for desktop use. The device provides an intuitive user-friendly interface. For maximum durability, it is protected in a machined aluminum enclosure and comes in a compact military standard carry case.

JJN Digital HSA-Q1 Feature Focus:

Practical handheld design with fitted retractable stand

For the ultimate flexibility, while sweeping, this device is made absolutely portable for handheld use. Weighing just 1.3kg, and with a battery life of up to 4 hours in one charge, you are free to operate continuously with the device wherever you need. The unit can also operate while the charger is connected should you need a longer operation time. The HSA-Q1 is also fitted with a retractable stand for desktop use when necessary.

Impressive sweep time

In just 0.5 seconds, you can do a Full Range sweep with the HSA-Q1 and for shorter spans and lower ranges, sweep time is an extraordinary 0.2 seconds, in comparison to the newest Delta X G2/6 which has a sweep time of 2-3 seconds and the Delta X G2/12 with a sweep time of 3-4 seconds.

Waterfall Spectrogram Function with Persistence Mode

One of the main features the HSA-Q1 Handheld RF Spectrum Analyser presents is the Waterfall Spectrogram Function which reveals a real-time graphical display in full colour of any detected signals enabling you a further analysis. This feature is extremely helpful when trying to detect modern pulsed digital signals or frequency hopping signals from modern devices such as Cellular, Wi-Fi, GPS, or Burst-based devices. The Persistence mode changes signal colour from blue to red for the longest present ('persistent') signals so you can better identify persevering signals that otherwise might be concealed in a busy RF environment.

Tune & Listen Function

Providing ease of use, with the Tune&Listen function you can direct tune into any detected signal, view the signal's pattern, and see its strength live down to -100dBm, all with a simple press of a button. By using the audio demodulation, you can choose between WideFM, NarrowFM or AM demodulation and listen to detected signals via built-in speakers or provided earphones, which allows you to better distinguish regular bugs with microphones from harmless detected signals like broadcast radio.

5 levels for RF Sensitivity

With 5 levels for adjusting the RF sensitivity, you will be able to uncover all signals whether they are close by in adjoining rooms, outside the building, or even when you need the location for a specific nearby signal source. The Maximum RF sensitivity in Sweep Mode is -80dBm, while in Tune&Listen mode, it goes to -100dBm.

Background Scan Function

Another great feature the HSA-Q1 provides is a Background scan. When needed, the device will study and save the current RF environment. At any time in future scans, the RF environments can be recalled and compared to see if any new signals have appeared in the RF environment since you last reviewed them. New signals will be accentuated on the display thus allowing you to inspect closely.
